It is 1984. Elena McMahon, estranged from her powerful husband in
California and reporting from the presidential election campaign, makes her
way to Florida to see her evasive, gruff father, who does deals. Through
him, she finds herself in a situation in Central America, where things were
hotting up again, knowing neither what to expect, what to demand, nor what
to call achievement.
